Me cuesta creer que esta tarde vaya a empezar oficialmente el Otoño, especialmente con los días tan buenos que estamos teniendo en Madrid. Hace un sol esplendoroso y un calor de verano. Hace tanto calor que el otro día decidí cortar algunas rosas del jardín para ponerlas en la repisa y para mi sorpresa, al día siguiente descubrí que con el calor se habían abierto completamente, cosa que tampoco me importa tanto ya que las rosas me gustan tipo antiguo tirando a "gorditas".

I find it hard to believe that this evening Autumn will officially begin, specially as we are having such lovely days in Madrid. We are enjoying an splendid sun and it's just as hot as in Summer. It is so hot that the other day I decided to cut some roses from the garden to put on my mantle and, to my surprise, the next day I discovered that with the heat they were in full bloom, which I really do not mind so much as I like antique style roses, you know, on the "plump" side.
